Deena has lived
her entire life in the small town of Mt. Pleasant where she spent the majority
of her spare time with horses or drawing them. She took art classes all
through high school from an exceptional teacher ( Anne Ridenhour) who entered
her work in many competitions and received many awards. She took a few
years of commercial art at CPCC in Charlotte but decided that was not the
avenue best suited for her. Now she works full time as a Behavior
Management Tech. in Cabarrus Co. Schools and spreads the rest of her time
between her two children, husband, horses, mule and what's left is spent
painting murals, slate rocks or drawing for the public and sometimes just for
herself. Deena is a member of the Tri-County Cowboy Church in Mt.
Pleasant and feels blessed that she has been able to serve the Lord with her
